It seems like it is a fad Driving While Intoxicated. Many celebrities in movies and on real life are often caught driving horribly drunk. Some even cause accidents and inflict damage to properties. Alarmingly, about 17,000 car accidents every year is due to drunk driving. And still many people appear to be complacent about its risks.

Although there are laws that prohibit driving while intoxicated, many still disregards them hoping to get away. People driving under the influence either do not know the consequences, or are arrogant enough to disrespect the law. However, with popular warnings about DWI flooding the media, it seems people are probably just ignoring.

For first offence, states require lighter penalties compared to veteran violators. Sometimes paying for a fine can serve the punishment. The only way to retrieve it is by getting SR-22 car insurance, or a high-risk car insurance policy. However, finding SR-22 is not easy, and usually it cost more expensive than usual auto insurances.
